Challenges
Upton-on-Severn Rugby Club required foundations for new modular changing rooms on a sloping site. The ground conditions and the design of the modular structure meant that the foundation points had to be installed with a high degree of accuracy, both in their position and level.
Solutions
Techno Metal Post Oxford provided a foundation solution using 15 helical piles.
The Techno Metal Post system was particularly well suited to the project, allowing the foundation points to be precisely positioned and adjusted to the required levels, while working efficiently on the sloping ground.
This provided a practical alternative to traditional foundation methods, allowing the modular structure to be supported without extensive ground preparation or excavation, and with no concrete curing time required.
Result / Conclusion
The foundation installation was completed successfully, with all 15 piles installed to the required specifications. The modular changing rooms could then be installed on a stable, accurately positioned foundation, despite the challenging slope of the site.
