Our helical pier foundations are made from Hollow Structural Steel (HSS), making them compliant with ASTM A500 grade C. They are designed, fabricated, tested, and installed in compliance with Canadian, European, and U.S. building codes. To install them, our trained and certified professionals use specialized hydraulic machines to screw them into the ground until a specific torque and depth is reached. This allows the installers to determine the load-bearing capacity for the structure.
In addition, Techno Metal Post’s fully welded couplings, which connect the piers, ranked above others when compared to bolted couplings in similar products. This delivers maximum strength, rigidity, and enhanced buckling resistance.

We have designed and created a series of specialized hydraulic equipment, exclusively for the installation of helical foundation piers. A single machine compact in size, allows the crew to complete installations for even the toughest foundations and tightest spots. It is less disruptive to surrounding areas compared to traditional methods, as it does not require excavation, the use of heavy machines, or concrete pouring. Another added benefit is the minimal impact on your lawn and surrounding landscape, leaving behind only a small footprint. During the installation process, our exclusive polyethylene green sleeve is placed on the pier, to safeguard it against ground movement. In situations where there are freeze/thaw cycles or swelling clay, the sleeve is designed to glide along the shaft, adapting to any ground movements. Techno Metal Post’s helical pier foundation remains secure, thereby guaranteeing the stability of the entire structure.
To ensure the stability and security of any given structure, pile caps/support plates are affixed to the top of each pier. A solarium needs a foundation [...] having a concrete slab on grade with posts driven through the slab to lock it in place, so it won’t shift or move over time. But the kind of posts your contractor uses will make all the difference. We used Techno Metal Post’s helical pier — three at the back of the solarium (the part that’s away from the house). They’re like giant metal screws, so the frost can’t grab them and pull them up. Only a certified technician can install these posts because specialized hydraulic machinery that measures soil conditions has to be used.
