FDES (Environmental and Health Declaration Datasheet)
In accordance with NF EN ISO 14025, NF EN 15804+A1 and companion standard NF EN 15804/CN
A FDES is a standardised document that shows the results of a product’s life cycle analysis as well as health information, used to calculate the environmental and health performance of an eco-design building. A FDES provides objective, multi-criteria quantitative and qualitative information about a product’s function or lifespan in a project. The main role of the FDES is to provide useful, necessary information to those who want to add unbiased environmental and health criteria to their usual criteria (technical, economic and aesthetic choices). They are an irreplaceable tool for evaluating the environmental performance of buildings.
BLP has carried out an ‘intention to insure’ assessment on the Techno-Pieux Inc. Techno Metal Post pre-fabricated helical steel foundation pile system and confirms it would, in principle, provide latent defects insurance (new homes warranty) subject to the receipt of the appropriate premium and undertaking normal BLP component, design and workmanship checks applicable to individual schemes.
Subject to the above checks, the Techno-Pieux Inc. Techno Metal Post prefabricated helical steel foundation pile system, with suitable assessment of the soil resistivity and the consequent correct specification of the pile steel thickness, provision of galvanising and/or cathodic protection, as appropriate, should be durable for a minimum period of 60 years.
BOPAS provides assurance to the lending community that innovatively constructed properties against which they may be lending, will deliver a consistent performance over a determined durability of 60 years.
The technologies involved in offsite manufactured systems and innovative construction techniques will change the construction landscape and BOPAS will ensure that they meet stringent quality criteria. The designers, manufacturers, and constructors involved in offsite manufactured systems are rigorously audited and approved to maintain the highest levels of quality assurance throughout the process and ensure their construction systems are approved for integrity, durability and performance.
Buildoffsite is a membership organisation with members from a wide range of UK and International client, supply, professional services and academic organisations.
The Modular and Portable Building Association (MPBA) play a key role in connecting all sectors of the modular and portable building industry together. The Association is represented on committees for BSI, LPCB-Expert Group D and also works with BRE, LABC, CLG, NHS, Cskills-CITB, and Carbon Trust to represent the industry. Clear aims, objectives and codes of conduct have been set-up by the MPBA and approved by industry regulatory bodies.
