Introducing the newest member of our TMP dealership network: Kevin Elledge, from Buffalo, NY! Kevin joined the Techno Metal Post family after completing his training at TMP’s headquarters, this April.
Kevin is a man of many interests who has worn many hats. As a student, he started out in computer sciences before making his way into construction, deciding he preferred to work with his hands. As a carpenter, his area of specialization has primarily been “all things underground”: basement lowering, underpinnings, tunnel construction. “I make the Taj Mahal out of crawl spaces.”
Involved in heavy construction, Kevin used to do a lot of pile driving on larger projects, before looking into helical piles. He said he never knew about them until one day when he was trying to find an easier way to do mass excavation. While researching, he saw a photo of an EM1 supporting a basement and wondered, “What is THAT?!” Very soon after, he was meeting Serge and Francois to begin the process of becoming a dealer. Kevin’s trajectory to TMP was fast; he said, “you either get on the train while you can, or you wave while it passes.”
Kevin already has some helical pile projects lined up in Western New York when he gets home. And because he “really likes doing the heavy things,” he will continue his work in heavy construction doing basement lowering, underpinnings, living extensions of houses, and will eventually transit solely into helical piles.
Very busy and hardworking, when Kevin finds some spare time he enjoys scuba diving, motorcycle riding, and spending time with family and friends.
Kevin enjoyed his intense week of training in Thetford Mines. He said one of the highlights was being able to see the manufacturing of equipment and the hands-on experience. He said he also appreciated how everyone at TMP works as a team. He is now looking forward to serving his customers throughout Western New York.
